At just under one million sf, the Canco Lofts development is the Tri-State Area’s largest industrial-to-residential conversion. The five-tower Jersey City landmark complex will ultimately house 551 authentic loft residences ranging from studio to 3-bedroom, as well as 15,000 sf of lifestyle amenities, a signature mediateque lobby designed by renowned Manhattan-based architectural studio LOT-EK, and an on-site 350-car parking garage.

The development retains the building’s key industrial elements, including its intricate art deco facade, grand-scaled windows, and soaring ceiling heights that range from 14 ft to over 27 ft in the building’s prized two-level penthouse residences. Before actual construction work could proceed, an intricate power substation relocation effort was required. Two of the five towers have been completed at this time.
